The Tir Olímpic Club of Formentera was planning to build a shooting range in a rural area with a nearby dispersed neighbourhood. This association needed to know what the acoustic impact of its activity would be in this neighbourhood. To do this, acoustic measurements were taken on the site planned for the location of the Shooting Range. These measurements were made with live fire to get as close as possible to an actual situation. A simulation was then carried out using software to determine the sound map of this shooting range activity in the affected area. Once the influence of this activity on the residential environment had been determined and in order to comply with current municipal regulations, several acoustic solutions were proposed to be included in the construction project for this sports venue.
